After a period of uncertainty, and despite the loss of steam
locomotive 3801, 3801 Limited is pleased to announce that tours will
re-commence on Sunday 21st January. We aim to provide a varied and interesting
range of tours throughout 2007. Bookings are available for the following:
January 21st –
Sydney Suburban Goods Lines with 4908 and 4918. Visit some of Sydney’s most unusual places as we explore
the Suburban Goods Lines behind vintage 49 class diesel locomotives top and
tailed. We plan to visit Sandown, Yennora, Rozelle – for what may be the last
time as this line looks like closing shortly, Botany Yard, Enfield Yard and Lavender Bay. The train departs Sydney at 7.50am and returns at 5pm. Fares
are: Adults $95.00, Seniors $90.00 and Children $65.00.
February 4th –
Kandos with 4501+4473+4486 – Come for a spectacular trip over the Blue
Mountains and along the Capertee
Valley to Kandos. Newly
restored 4501 will team up with 4473 and 4486 to make a fine sight over this
rarely used line. Lunch is included at Kandos RSL. The train departs Sydney at 6.30am picking up at Strathfield, Parramatta, Blacktown
and Penrith. Arrive back in Sydney
around 8.30pm. Fares are: Adults $130.00, Seniors/Children $120.00
