What makes local streets & open spaces work well?

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

  • What is it like to walk clown the street in your
    neighbourhood?
  • Do you have favourite streets or open spaces?
  • Are there spots you avoid? What is it that you
    like or don’t like?
  • Are there places you tend to bump into friends?
  • Do the streets connect well to get you where you
    need to go?

These are some of the questions we will be discussing to help
inform the urban planners.

There are a number of ways we are trying to help people
think about what makes streets and open spaces great, and to share their
thoughts.

To join in you can:

  • Invite our team to give a presentation and short
    workshop (30 minutes) to your local community group or some of your neighbours
  • Join us for a Walk & Talk workshop to
    discuss streets and open spaces
  • Have a walk around your neighbourhood and take
    note of what you like and what you don’t like – you can use the HNSW Survey on Streets and Spaces
    to make your comments    .
  • Drop in and see us at the RedWater Markets – Saturday
    15 October 2011 & Saturday 19 November 2011
