Street improvements, Darlington

Join me at the drop
in session at the Charles Kernan Reserve, Abercrombie Street, Darlington, on
Saturday 8 December from 2.30-4.30pm to review the new concept design – view the new concept design online , speak
with City staff and give your feedback.

Last year we asked
for your feedback on a concept design to improve the southern side of
Abercrombie Street, between Ivy and Shepherd streets. In response to community
feedback, the project has been expanded to include works at Ivy Street and on
the northern side Abercrombie Street between Ivy and Shepherd Streets.

The expanded concept
design includes:

  • Reducing the clutter of
    overhead wires;
  • Widening the footpath
    with new brick paving;
  • Installing new lighting;
  • Greening the area with
    new trees and plantings,
  • Improving pedestrian
    safety with a road treatment at Ivy Street
  • Changing traffic conditions to improve safety
    and pedestrian amenity. There will be no loss of parking.

You can see the
revised concept plan view the new concept design online  and have your say from Monday 3 December until Monday 17
December 2012 at sydneyyoursay.com.au
