SUMMARY:REDWatch Zoom Meeting &#8211\; June 4th 6pm – A Tale of Two Stati
 ons
LOCATION:On Line using Zoom
DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\nTransport for NSW (TfNSW) will present its Redfern Sta
tion proposal\nto the June REDWatch meeting which will be held at 6pm on 4t
h June\non line via Zoom. REDWatch has also asked TfNSW to provide an updat
e on what is\nhappening for other aspects of the Redfern Station redevelopm
ent. You can see more about the plans for Redfern Southern Concourse at - R
EDWatch Update on Redfern Station Southern Concourse Exhibition until 24th
June 2020\nAlso at the REDWatch meeting we will be joined by representative
s of the\nJohn Holland/Mirvac joint venture responsible for the Waterloo In
tegrated\nStation Development\, which includes both the Metro station and t
he over\nstation development. While they are not ready to start their consu
ltation at\nthe REDWatch meeting they can talk about what they are doing\,
clarify any\nplanning questions\, and take on board any comments about the
development.\nA joint venture\nbetween John Holland and Mirvac is in the pr
ocess of preparing building and\npublic space designs for the Waterloo Inte
grated Station Development which\nincludes the new Waterloo Metro Station a
nd the over station development. They\nwon the rights to the development ag
ainst other developers on the short list.\nIn last year’s\nplanning proce
ss\, the land occupied by the future station site\, was rezoned to\nallow t
he development of the site. The rezoning approval made some changes to\nwha
t was exhibited. While the approval kept a similar amount of floor space fo
r\ncommunity uses it removed the dedicated “community building” creatin
g a larger\ncommunity square. The approval also allowed for the possibility
of a greater\nquantity of office space and allowed the movement of some fl
oor space between\nthe towers and the buildings to the east of the towers n
ext to the station\nboxes. The approval sets the parameters within which th
e joint venture is\ndeveloping the proposed building and public space desig
ns. The John Holland\nMirvac joint venture will start pre-lodgement communi
ty consultation in June. The community\nis keen to see what the joint ventu
re is proposing and to provide comments.\nIf you would like to join this on
line REDWatch meeting\nvia PC or phone please email mail@redwatch.org.au fo
r link and login details. REDWatch members and supporters will find the lin
 k in their latest email update.\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;
