The New South Wales Government has approved plans for the
$30 million Indigenous Development Centre.
The centre will be run by the corporation and offer child
care, literacy training for school students and a range of sporting facilities.
The corporation’s general manager, David Galvin, says
there has been widespread support for the centre.
“There’s been full consultation with the community,”
he said.
“It’s a very big project with the movement of the
PCYC from the old site to here, the development of the sporting ovals [and] the
education facility run by the Exodus foundation.
“It’s all very positive for the local
community.”
