REDWatch held a housing policy
forum at Redfern Town Hall on November 12 –
the same night as then PM Howard
delivered his policy speech. REDWatch organisers had been told by the local Liberals
that their candidate wouldn’t be attending because housing was a not a Federal
issue. At the policy launch, Howard mentioned it all the way through his speech.
In hindsight, it probably doesn’t matter, but you can see how seriously the
Liberals take the inner city.
