Around 5,000 people will attend the event which will see MTV
award sports professionals and TV and film actors as well as musicians for the
first time. The awards are a coup for the RWA which is looking to make the ATP
the media centre of Sydney.
While not confirmed, Channel 9 is rumoured to be in discussions with the RWA
about establishing a new home in the area when it moves from its Willoughby site.
