Neighbourhood Advisory Board (NAB) Meeting for NAB Representatives. The Housing Standards meetings for Redfern are held one hour before each NAB at 9am.
The City of Sydney and local Police are hosting a series of Good Neighbourhood BBQs
This informal gathering is for all volunteers, community workers, reps and all those interested in Redfern Waterloo. It happens on the last Friday of the Month at the Alexandria Hotel at 1pm. It is a great way of having a good chat with someone or to speak-out about something. Its great fun, we can eat and drink.
Workshop to discuss the City of Sydney's proposal to improve parking in Alexandria; to give an update on recent consultations, what the Council is proposing and the review of the ATP Parking Study
The new Redfern Street Village Cluster covers Chippendale, Darlington, Eveleigh, Golden Grove, West Redfern and parts of Waterloo and Alexandria. This meeting is the first for the new clusters and aims to set priorities for future Council Work in the cluster.

The April REDWatch meeting on Thursday 5 April will focus on City of Sydney's planning for the Redfern Street Village. This will be the opportunity after the public workshop on 3 April to meet with Ann Hoban, Director City Culture & Community and Kate Read, Strategy Advisor Village Planning to discuss what Council should be considering in their planning for our village cluster.
The Waterloo Safety Audit Group (WSAG) meets on the second Wednesday of each month.
The Waterloo Learning Employment Enterprise Action Group (LEEAG) meets every two months

Come and Join the 2012 Redfern ANZAC Day March and Commemoration Service. The guest speaker this year is (Rob) Joe Bryant who is an Aboriginal Vietnam veteran.

The Labor Party is trialling a new way of selecting Labor candidates for public office. For the first time, members of the public will be able to vote in a “Community Preselection” to choose Labor’s candidate for Lord Mayor of Sydney. To meet the candidates, please come along to this Candidate Forum on Monday 30 April.

Written Advocacy for Community Workers is designed to enable participants to identify issues and develop plans for effective written advocacy and to take responsibility for change in their lives and communities and the lives of their clients. The session will cover the different tiers of government, effective writing skills and community leadership.
