Monthly Neighbourhood Advisory Board (NAB) Meeting for NAB Representatives
REDWatch meets on the first Thursday of the Month from 6-8pm. The focus for this month will be an update on the activities of the Sydney Metropolitan Development Authority (SMDA)
The Waterloo Safety Audit Group (WSAG) meets on the second Wednesday of each month.
The Waterloo Learning Employment Enterprise Action Group (LEEAG) meets every two months

ATP will hold an Information Session in relation to the draft ATP Conservation management Plan on 28 June 2012. The submission period will be extended until 6 July 2012.

REDWatch meets on the first Thursday of the Month from 6-8pm. This month REDWatch is having a round Table on “Beyond the tick box - community engagement we can believe in”. For this roundtable we will be joined by three guest participants to input from their specialties: Evette Andrews - Manager, Strategy Community Consultation - City Of Sydney; Dare Kavanagh - Project Manager- Community Building HNSW / DFS Major Projects; and Dallas Rogers - Research Fellow, School of Social Sciences and Psychology UWS.
Challenge 4 Change is a free Training Programme organised by the Groundswell Coalition in Redfern Waterloo. It aims to skill people for involvement in change. The first part of the programme is about Community Building and covers the five areas listed below. The programme is aimed at people already involved in the community who want to gain skills to be more effective in bringing change.

Living Sydney is running a team in the upcoming local council elections for the City of Sydney and we are holding meetings of community members throughout the city in the next few weeks. The purpose of these meetings is to hear of your local problems and meet our Lord Mayoral candidate, Angela Vithoulkas and our team. This Wednesday 18 July we are holding a meeting at Redfern Town Hall between 6.30-8.30pm and we are hoping that you, your members and friends will be able to attend.

Would you like to participate in a storytelling and weaving artwork initiative for the national day for Adults Surviving Child Abuse (ASCA)? South Sydney Uniting Church in assiciation with ASCA is planning a special presentation in addition to its ususal November prayer service. We seek to facilitate members of the community coming together to help untangle the knot of child abuse. Come and weave blue ribbons into origami fish including any words or messages

This months REDWatch monthly meeting has been given over to a Meet the Candidates Forum for the coming By-Election in the State seat of Heffron to replace Kristina Keneally who has resigned from state parliament. Come and hear from Mehreen Faruqi from the Greens Ron Hoenig from the ALP at the Factory 6-8pm 2nd August 2012.
The NSW Government Green Paper on the Planning Reforms uses North Eveleigh as an example of a proposed "Enterprise Zone". Hear Greens Planning Spokesperson David Shoebridge, City of Sydney Greens Councillor Irene Douthney and Greens Heffron candidate Mehreen Farugi raise the Greens concerns at this protest.
