The Village to Village bus is a free hop-on hop-off service for City of Sydney residents. The City is proposing an extra route between Redfern and Camperdown to give residents better access to local services, facilities and public transport. An extension to Green Square is also being considered.
Shadow Minister for Transport, Penny Sharpe will host a forum on how to make the public transport system accessible to all people. Ms Sharpe said that the forum on March 15 would have two aims: 1. To review and provide feedback to the NSW Government's Disability Action Plan; and 2. To allow public transport users – and in particular people with disabilities and other mobility issues – to talk about their experiences with public transport in Sydney and NSW more broadly. The Redfern Commemoration is held in the early afternoon so people can participate in the main Sydney march and other local ANZAC Day events elsewhere. The Cadre Project has been described as Mental Health Neighbourhood Watch. To achieve this we have three days of interactive discussion where people from the Inner City come together to learn how to interact with people with mental health issues. The workshop will help you discover where to go for help and information about things that will assist; whether it’s for personal reasons, family members, friends, neighbours or just somebody who drops in to your community unannounced. Redfern Workshops will be held on Tuesday 14, 21 and 28 May 2013.
