REDWatch Exploration Night - Is Redfern Losing its Welcoming Spirit? Are the impacts of gentrification benefiting us all? REDWatch holds its monthly public meetings on the first Thursday of the month. REDWatch meetiungs are open to anyone interested in the issues of the area.
Sydney Uni's plans for new buildings on its campus including a number on the Darlington Campus are in their Campus Improvement Plan 2014-2020. The proposal for approval in principle of these developments was initially on exhibition for a short period - until the end of February. The University has now said it will consult with the community until the end of March and the Department of Planning and Infrastructure will accept submissions for a short period after the end of February. Three additional Information sessions are being held by the University - this is one of them. Submissions with any concerns from members of the community should be raised with the Universiuty and also made in writing to the Department of Planning.

The Inner City Mental Health Recovery Working Group will be hosting the 4th Looking Forward Looking Back Mental Health Forum on Wednesday 2nd April 2014 at Redfern Town Hall, 73 Pitt St, Redfern.

'The Unknown Soldier' is the theme for this year’s Redfern march. The most recent program has the start a little earlier than shown below at 1.40pm at Redfern Park. After a reath laying the Coloured Diggers March starts at 2pm at Redfern Park and heads to the Redfern Community Centre for a Remeberence Ceremony.
REDWatch holds its monthly public meetings on the first Thursday of the month. The focus this month is a roundtable on “Mind the Gaps” (see attached). What are the Gaps in Community Services? What are the Gaps between Services and Residents ? What Are the Gaps between Government and Non-Government Agencies? What are the Gaps between Expectations and Reality ? The roundtable will be at 6pm at The Factory Community Centre 67 Raglan Street Waterloo. This roundtable is an opportunity to identify the gaps that need to be addressed and to also think about how these gaps can be addressed.
ATP are also holding a ATP Heritage Community Days on Friday, 16 & Saturday, 17 May 2014 to celebrate the Park's rich heritage. This is an ideal opportunity for the community to find out about the heritage on their doorstep. Step back in time to a bygone era with live Blacksmith demonstrations, hear stories from a past Eveleigh Railyard worker, explore train and bus displays, see an industrial heritage art exhibition and enjoy Devonshire Tea. Tours run at 10am, 12pm and 2pm from the Locomotive Workshop. Below you will find an email from the ATP promoting the event.

The funeral for Bishop John McIntyre will be at St Saviour’s, Redfern, at 11 am on Tuesday June 17.
REDWatch holds its monthly public meetings on the first Thursday of the month. In July we will be looking at what is happening with the Governments Plans for Central to Eveleigh. UrbanGrowth recently held focus groups arround the site including one for resident and other groups. This session will report back on what is happening and discuss some of the questions UrbanGrowth are currently asking for input on from the community.

This workshop will explore the most recent population projections for Inner Sydney. What do they say? How are they arrived at? Instead REDWatch is throwing its support behind a Questions about Drugs forum at Redfern Town Hall (upstairs) which will be held on the REDWatch meeting night at 6pm Thursday November 6th.
