On 27 January the RWA released the Draft of Phase 2 of their Built Environment Plan (BEP2). Below you will find details of the plan which was only on exhibition until 28 February 2011. REDWatch has collected a range of background materials about the issues associated with the redevelopment of public housing - these can be found via the Public Housing tab at the top of the page or by the link at the foot of this page. The RWA Draft BEP2 is being finalised by the Sydney Metropolitan Development Authority as aprt of a wider precinct study.

Attached is the City of Sydney Council submission on the Draft Redfern-Waterloo Built Environment Plan Stage 2. This is an important submission because the Council is the body that has all the in house expertise to assess BEP2. It also indicates what Council would allow if it was the Consent Authority which it may yet be. Please note there have been a few versions of this document on line - this is the corrected version produced on 20 April 2010. The file is 7.7 MB PDF.
The RWA website contains submissions from people and Organisations who are happy to have their comments made public. We have not placed all these on the REDWatch website but below we have provided links to these submissions.

The Redfern-Waterloo Authority (RWA) Stakeholder Engagement Report for the Built Environment Plan Stage 2 (BEP 2) contains an analysis of the surveys returned during the BEP2 consultation. REDWatch has concerns about how this data has been reported and has hence extracted from the report the raw data for further analysis. This data has been provided to the RWA/SMDA for checking and is being made available for researchers who are interested in peer reviewing this aspect of the Mediate Today report. The data sheet contains some questions that REDWatch would like to clarify that have been raised during the preparation of this data set. REDWatch will now prepare its own comments on the Mediate Today report. File is 43KB PDF
